The 2021 Morgenthau Grand Strategy Seminar
The Hans J. Morgenthau Grand Strategy Seminar, a new program in the Notre Dame International Security Center (NDISC), is a selective, month-long program in which future U.S. foreign policy professionals study big picture questions on American foreign policy in small seminars under the guidance of emerging scholars in the field. The ability to think critically about grand strategy - a state's theory of how to cause security for itself - will be essential for those making U.S. national security policy in the coming decades, as major international dynamics like the rise of China, the spread of advanced military technology, climate change, and social disruptions will force leaders to reevaluate old ways of doing things.
